ABOUT: The museum concludes its 25th anniversary exhibition program by inviting visitors to reflect on the educational role of museums in our society with an innovative project curated by the Education Department. ‘Art Lesson’ comprises a series of events that unfold over time—with different activities throughout its run—and across the museum—occupying various locations. This project is conceived as an organic whole that develops progressively, ensuring that our institution remains particularly active throughout the exhibition.
The exhibition includes works by contemporary artists such as Antoni Muntadas, Cinthia Marcelle, Dennis Adams, Eva Kot’átková, Dora Garcia, Pavel Kogan, Erwin Wurm, and Rineke Djikstra, which question the nature of knowledge, explore the museum as a personal experience, and seek to transform the role of the viewer and their place within the museum. For the first time, the museum is also opening itself up as a space for creative work with two residency grants that will allow artists to collaborate with the education team, both during the preparation process and during the exhibition itself. The aim is to forge connections between contemporary cultural production and the museum, between the artworks and the work of the educators.
