BIO
Creative Director in audiovisual projects.
Co-founder of Curiosa.
BA in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).
She is an audiovisual and lighting installation designer. A specialist in video mapping and lighting programming, she works on the creative development of audiovisual content for exhibition spaces, researching the construction of hybrid installations that break down the boundaries between the material and the digital: audiovisuals that connect historical document formats with current modes of expression and codes of communication. She transforms light and image into a language that enriches spatial narrative, enhancing the impact of each project.
She is the Creative Audiovisual Director at Smart and Green Design, an internationally award-winning architecture studio specializing in exhibition design.
Linked to the field of teaching and deeply interested in education as a space for thought, creation, and transformation, she teaches workshops at both the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UCM and the ETSAM (where she has been project director for the Master’s Degree in “Ephemera”). She also teaches audiovisual narrative at various educational centers. She collaborates with the education departments of the Thyssen Museum and the Prado Museum, where she has developed, among other things, a tour for children that explains the theories of light and color through works in the collection and a workshop aimed at vulnerable groups.
Her creative work has been recognized at international festivals such as the Girona Videomapping Festival, where a jury of more than 10 international professionals from the sector acknowledged her project FAKE for “its creative contribution to the search for new forms of communication through technology.”
She took her first professional steps at the production company Lola Films (where she worked on projects with, among others, John Malkovich, Julian Schnabel, Bigas Luna, and Fernando Trueba).
She was a pioneer of video art in Madrid’s 1990s clubs The Room and Soma Experimental Club, working for DJs such as Elesbann, Ángel García, or Richie Hawtin. In 2005, she was personally selected by artist Michel Gondry for an experimental video workshop at the London Film School.
Between 2004 and 2009, she directed the Audiovisual Department at the Photoespaña Festival of Photography and Visual Arts. Later, she continued this work as a freelancer for the most relevant new technology exhibitions in Spain, such as “Feedback,” “Game World,” “Máquinas y Almas,” “Premios Vida,” and has collaborated with national and international artists like Daniel Canogar, Jaume Plensa, or Atom Egoyan.
In 2010, she co-founded WotStudio with Inés Vila, a creative space that develops, researches, and explores new audiovisual and graphic codes.
In 2021, she participated in the founding of the CURIOSA project, focused on the creation of digital content, where she is responsible for the audiovisual creation department. The diverse backgrounds of its members allow their different perspectives to blend and enrich one another, leading to unique results. Together with this team, she has created projects that have traveled worldwide.
